Dance between the Pipa and Mexican Guitar

An authority on contemporary pipa and hailed by international media as a model artist, Wu Man has teamed up with the US band Son de San Diego in creating songs full of the passion that characterizes Mexican music.

■ In this Chinese-Latin American crossover that Wu Man has been working on for years, the pipa and Mexican guitar engage in a passionate dialogue with vocals and a dance beat that aspire to the epitome of perfection.

■ The album contains six Son Jarocho songs (the same Mexican folk genre that produced the classic “La Bamba”), including both traditional songs and new creations, as well as two rearranged Chinese folk songs.
