The First Research Study on the Effect of Music Relaxation in Taiwan
The ancient cultures of the East understood sound to be one of the primary creative forces in the universe. The ancients knew what the modern physicists now understand: everything in the universe is in a state of vibration, including all aspects of our bodies. When we are in a state of health, all of our bodily parts work together in harmony, creating an overall balance of health. This unique Eastern style of music uses sound wave vibrations to massage the body and mind. By effectively combining the wisdom of this Eastern regimen with the traditional cultures of Chinese martial arts, this music is in harmony with the universe and has all the power needed to give our bodies and minds complete balance, so that we can be ¡§in tune.¡¨ Listeners are refreshed and rejuvenated and are able to attain a higher power of concentration, leading to greater fulfillment and even revelation. Through the clinical HRV (Heart Rate Variability) tests administered by psychotherapist Chou, and the research studies on EEGs (ElectroencephaloGrams) by Industrial Technology Research Institute (ITRI), the music in this collection has been proven to give relief in a short time for people suffering from the pressures of stress.
Zen Relaxation Series
Drawing from the wisdom of Zen philosophy, this series presents a framework within which to consider the subtleties and modalities of implementing music and sound to relieve stress for people in modern life. The musical selections in this series have been made by music supervisors from the Inner Connection Music Association, and Chou, Alan, a well-known psychotherapist. In cooperation with talented musicians in Taiwan and Mainland China, they have selected a wide ranging repertoire of music based on the wisdom of Zen philosophy, with the express purpose of relieving stress for the listeners.
