The whole album, with over 180monks participating in the production, was recorded live at Nepal's Tharig monastery. Ceremonial musical instruments used included a Tibetan bell (dilbu), conches (dun), drums (rna), cymbals (rolmo), and several kinds of traditional trumpets, etc. In this album all the chantings, which are performed with musical instruments, are dedicated to Mahakala, the divine protector of Tibetans.
