This album is an attempt to combine the folk music with the chanting of Buddhist verses. Played with Chinese zither, flute, and pipa (Chinese lute), the music moves smoothly like a running brook and flying clouds, with occasionally some scattering chirping of birds and sounds of streams. Traditional Buddhist ceremonial instruments echo and mingle well with the simple style of folk songs, creating a clear and solemn atmosphere in religious worships.
