The tern 'repentance' in Buddhism originates from the Sanskrit 'Ksamayati' which means forgiveness and tolerance initially. 'The Verse of Repentance' is the common verse that the Buddhist recite as self-reflection, cultivation or repentance of one's sin before the Buddha. This album, 'Chant of Repentance', adopts the common verse for repenting from 'Avatamsa Sutra' with the rearranged tune, is divided into two parts -- 'chant' & 'Instrumental' to help the listeners to soothe themselves in self-reflection.
