The Puyuma tribe's most common style of singing is 'call and response.' This is the alternation of solo and chorus in two-part polyphony based on ostinato. The scale used is similar to that of Amis, their neighboring tribe, which is the pentatonic scale on the keys of A and C. Through the ritual songs, hunter's songs, laboring songs and children rhymes collected in this album, the traditional life style and social values are clearly shown.
