I have witnessed a number of people who have struggled in the backstage of the music scene, silently but diligently working on behalf of the music of their native home. The ability of ancient musical compositions in the category of traditional folk music to transcend through hundreds of thousands of years and passing from generation to generation without ever diminishing in significance, keenly demonstrates the essence of the Asian culture. My hope is that like Western classical music, Asian music may also take the global stage and summon a harmony that will influence people in every corner of the world.
